setting up a zoneplayer S5

I received a dused Zoneplayer S5 and can’t get it to work.  I got the S1 app but the player is not seen by the app.  The power seems to be intermittent, the light comes on and then disappears.  Should I try to reset it? But how?

I would suggest you do a factory reset. It may not have been done before you received it. This will clear all the settings done by the original owner to get it connected to their network.
