I have a SonoS One that has not been able to get power. All the usual troubleshooting is done- multiple known working outlets tried, fully seating power cord, even trying other known good power cords. What else can be done to not have a paperweight? This unit is most likely out of warranty.
I would suggest calling Sonos support and speaking wit them about the issue. Sometimes they are kind enough to send you a new speaker, but since the One is more than likely out of warranty, they may offer you 30% off on a new speaker, such as the Era 100.
If it is out of warranty and you are handy with a soldering iron and a a multimeter, you may be able to repair the One if the fuse was the part that is bad. There are many sites you can find a guide.. just search.
Thank you!! So no way to just buy a new motherboard/control board right? I have a multimeter but not so handy with a soldering iron.
Sonos itself doesn’t sell any ‘parts’. Nor, to my knowledge, publish blueprints, or even encourage people to open up their devices. Likely due to the potential of severe shock, but that’s just a guess.
I have the same issue. My setup - Beam, Sub, 2x One gen 1. One of the Ones died (no power, fuse intact, varistor intact). I received the “here’s your 30% to buy a new one” from Sonos support. But hey, I need to actually buy 2x Era 100 at minimum because Sonos One is not available anymore. I’m so mad at this, so mad!!! There’s no repair for sonos - if it breaks, you need to buy a new one. Even Apple offers repairs!!! Making sure nobody asking me about Sonos will ever buy one.
You are aware that a ‘used’ and sometimes refurbished market exists?
