Play:3 and connect:amp not recognised

Hello

i have two play:3 and two connect:amp non of which are recognised by the app. I have done factory resets and connected by Ethernet etc but the app doesn’t see them.

i also have a move and a roam which are ok, so it seems to me as though the age of the products has something to do with it.

please advise.
