Sometimes the power plug is not fully seated in its socket.

I appreciate the reply, but it is seated in the socket properly. what’s crazy is it will play with an ethernet cord connected to my modem but not via bluetooth. go figure!

The One SL doesn’t have a Bluetooth play capability. That response has no relevance to your original post saying the speaker won’t turn on. And, If at some point you set LED’s to Off they won’t turn on and show. Similarly if you mean wifi: have you turned it off?
Can you clarify your problem? Then maybe someone can “go figure”.
