Music cuts out for 5-10 seconds then resumes. Not a wifi problem. My speeds are excellent. Any suggestions?

If it isn’t a WiFi problem you have no other good option than to wait for the problem, submit a diagnostic and call in to Sonos support with he number to have it looked into.

@Royalewc,

If you wire the same speaker to the router and play the same audio source do you still experience the same interruption?

If the answer is ‘yes’, then check the connection between source and speaker. If the answer is ‘no’, then it could be overlapping WiFi perhaps? You could in that case try a different (non-overlapping) WiFi channel and if necessary reduce the channel-width of the routers 2.4GHz band to 20Mhz only - at least that’s a place to maybe start your troubleshooting.

Note that there is more than speed that can impact a network, there are network addresses (IP addresses) that tell the data where to go, and interference , which, depending on strength and type, can even impact wired connections. I’m likely missing things, like the router firmware that updates itself without notifying the user, and other things as well. There’s a reason why that networking certification that my brother needed was several weeks of learning involved, and not just assumptions. I just play with them, I’m not certified, like he is.

In my own experience is, as soon as you decide what it isn’t, without proof, it usually is exactly that. Not always, but more frequently than not.
