Will the Arc soundbar link to my Sonos play:5.  For example if I were to purchase the Arc sound bar could I use my play:5 as surround sound.  Would they link together?

What does that mean? I’m asking will the Arc sync with my play:5 and play:1?

You can group them to play in sync, yes.  However, you asked about surround, and if you wanted to add them as surround speakers to hear 5.1 surround sound from your TV, you would need 2 of the same models.

Surrounds must be added in pairs.

If the play 5 is a Gen 2 and you have two of them, than yes you can. A Play 5 gen 1 is NOT compatible with the Arc because they need different apps to control them. Arc S2, Play 5 Gen 1 S1.

BUT you CANNOT add a Play 5 and a play 1 as surrounds. They HAVE to be the same model speaker.
