I am experiencing intermittent dropped sound from random speakers.  This was happening several months ago then it stopped, now it has started up again.  Occurs on wifi speakers, ROAM and in-line speaker.  Doesn’t happen on distinct speakers simultaneously (as far as I can tell).  I first noticed it on my kitchen speaker so I swapped it out to other speakers and it continued, so it does not appear to be speaker specific.  Can happen with TV, streaming service or iTunes playlist.  The dropouts can be anywhere from a few seconds to a couple of minutes.  WiFi signal is strong (in fact I have an access point in two of the rooms where it has happened.) As I mentioned it was happening several months ago and then it stopped without any intervention, now it has started again and actually seems more frequent.  Any suggestions??

Thanks

Hello @spurcell, welcome to the Sonos Community!

I am sorry to hear you are experiencing audio dropouts with your Sonos System.

There are various reasons for audio interruption to occur, with the main one being wireless interference.

Please have a look at our Support Article Reduce wireless interference, which has very helpful information that could improve your listening experience.

I would also recommend a refresh of all network connections, by rebooting all network devices involved in the following order: Router → Sonos → Controller (smartphone/tablet).

If you are still experiencing this issue after trying the above, please Submit Diagnostics within 10 minutes of a dropout occurring and then reach out to our Support Team for some live troubleshooting.

They have tools at their disposal to provide you with information and advice, specific to your system and what it reports.

I hope this helps.

Thank you.  I will follow the instructions above.  If problem persists I will contact Sonos support.

Thank you!
