how to stop S1 app asking me to update to S2

My current set up is using S2 iPhone app

  • One
  • Play 3
  • Play 5 (2nd Gen)
  • Playbar & Sub

I have these running on 1 account however I also have on the same Wi-fi network a

  • Play 5 (1st Gen) running on a separate account on a different iPhone S1 app

My issue is that the S1 app keeps wanting to update to S2 which then means it disconnects from the Play 5 (1st Gen), its driving me mad and I keep having to reset the app and reinstall.

I thought would it work if I got a Sonos Boost and ran the S2 compatible products on the separate network.

ANY IDEAS HOW TO RESOLVE MY ISSUES ????

Hi @mikehampson1878

Welcome to the Sonos Community!

I recommend the following:

  1. Turn off all your S2 Sonos products, but leave the Play:5 gen 1 turned on
  2. Open the S1 app
  3. Select Settings » App Preferences » Reset App » Reset
  4. Close and re-open the S1 app
  5. Select Connect to Existing System
  6. Once the app is connected, you can then turn on your S2 devices.

I hope this helps.

Thanks Corry I will give that a try
