I have just been given the gen1 Play:5 from my father, as he bought it new, used it once and it has been in a cupboard ever since, he’s moving house and he gave it to me as he didn’t use it. I have tried to set it up using the Sonos S1 app and it comes up when i go to set it up but when i press the volume up button and the mute button at the same time when prompted, the chime plays and nothing happens on the app, what can be done about this? I can’t find anything online.

Depending how long it’s been unused, there’s probably been several updates since he used it, and it may be too much to update in one step.
