Era 300 pops when grouped with Beam

I have a gen 2 beam paired with a Era 300. During playback from my hisense TV I occasionally get a popping sound from the Era 300. Has anyone else had this issue?

You cannot add only one rear speaker to a bar as a surround. What you’ve done is to group both devices in one room. For music could be good, because you’re filling better the room,  but for TV is not the best option, because the Era is trying to play the same sounds than the bar but with an small delay.

You can get a second Era to create a Home Theatre or use your current solution just to play music but not for TV.

Just to clarify your setup: do you have 2 Eras set as surrounds? Or is it set as a room and you’ve grouped the Beam room and the Era room? Or what, I’d not one of these setups?

I have just the one Era 300 paired with the gen 2 beam. Both are located in the living room.  I stream Spotify for music with no issues or popping sounds from the Era 300. It's only when I use the sound system with my Hisense TV to stream movies that I get the popping sound.

Sonos uses a lot of specific term to describe the system, this may help you describe your setup more clearly.

See the Grouping, Bonding and Pairing sections in particular.
