I recently upgraded my home theater area (24'x15') with Mohawk laminate flooring and bought the "Ultimate Immersive Set with Arc Ultra" for the sound system. I haven’t bought furniture or a rug yet, but I’m concerned about how to power the surround speakers. There are no power outlets in the floor or the nearby side walls where the speakers need to go.

The quickest solution might be to run an extension cord from the front of the room and hide it under a rug. However, this would require a rug that covers the space from the furniture to the TV.

Another option is to get a 250Wh battery pack, which should power the speakers for about four hours at full capacity. But this would cost more, and I’d also need to figure out where to hide the battery.

Any suggestions? I will hate to return my Era’s as the setup is not passing wife’s inspection :(

Why not use some plastic trunking? Run it round the walls at floor level or above the skirting. That hides the power extension cable at least. Then bring the socket and fix it to the wall and plug the speakers into that. More trunking can hide the power cables too.

Thanks, that makes sense - I will try with Wiremold II and a flat power cable extension.

Did that for a Sonos in our bath, ran it along edges and painted it to match, barely noticeable.
