I’m struggling with getting 2 x ERA 300 and a sub4 to talk to each other. At the moment my Sonos cannot ‘see’ my 5GHz channel. My modem (AX90) broadcasts on 2 5GHz Networks. 5GHz-1 has channel 36-48. 5GHz-2 has channels 100-161.
Do the ERA 300 or Sub4 have channels that they prefer or cannot see?

My speakers will link to the 2.4GHz but the sonos techs told me there was too much interference there and suggest that I use the 5GHz. Also my 5GHz signal is stronger.
I’ve tried setting entering the network manually but that does not work.
Precisely the reason I also use 5GHz for the majority of my Sonos devices. I also block the respective devices from connecting to 2.4GHz in the router’s settings.
Are you attempting to add the 5GHz network via Settings > Network > Manage Networks > Update Networks ?
Where does the process fail? After inputting SSID password? What error message do you receive?
+17Is there any reason why you do not want to use the 2.4Ghz channel on your router? Since the 2.4 Ghz channel has a wider range than 5Ghz, you would get a better, more stable connection for the speakers.
When you say Sonos cannot ‘see’ your 5GHz channel, are you able to input the network name manually?
I’ve seen in the past my 5GHz network would not show when Sonos scanned for local networks, but I could input it manually and the connection was successful.
I don’t have a Sub 4 but have no issues running Sonos devices on 5GHz, with only the Arc connecting over 2.4GHz.

Changing the Network when the Sonos is linked to the 2.5GHZ Channel
Going from Settings > Network > Manage Networks > Update Networks
First time it failed after entering the password. Subsequent times it failed when ‘connecting to network”. No error code.
Signing out of the app, deleting the app. downloading the app, resign in and hard reset the speaker. Unable to see the 5GHz channel.
Use Connect to other Network
Error message: couldn’t connect. make sure the you're using the right t wifi and password and try again.
The iPhone is on the 5GHz network.

Can you get the 300’s on 5GHz if you power down SUB?

So have been on the phone with support for 4 hr total. First 2 times, got tossed off at 58min. One of those told me the sub was broken and organised a return. The 3rd time was with a level 2 consultant. We redid all of the resetting the sonos and sending in multiple diagnostics. He confirmed that the original sub 4 was working fine, and said that the Sonos were unable to “see” the 5GHz channel. At the 2hr mark told be to reset everything again and if it didn’t work they could send me a connector so the ERAs and sub could connect via a wired connection. (Not what I bought a sonos for.).
Have emailed support a couple of times since regarding other 5GHz channel queries. I continue to be advised to just reboot etc. No answer on which 5GHz channels the Sonos use or why I might be having a problem.
Sonos can definitely connect on 5GHz channels between 36-64. Currently have mine connected on channel 60.
How far away is your router from the Sonos devices? If you temporarily move one device nearer to your router does it connect over 5GHz then?
