Can I use the same pair of Era100s to be both rear telly speakers and a stereo pair for listening to music?
No you cannot. Once any identical Sonos speaker pair are used as surrounds they cease to be independent and receive all audio data from the Sonos soundbar they are bonded to. However they can be set to auto play at full stereo mode when music is started on the Sonos soundbar and will automatically revert to surround mode when movie audio is detected by the soundbar.
All the above said to mean is that Sonos speakers used as surrounds will not appear as a room in the Sonos app.
You also lose the option for line in. When bonded as surrounds, a dedicated one-way link is established by the soundbar to the surrounds. (You might have noticed it took a bit of time to set them up.)
You wouldn’t want to do it often but you could remove the Eras as surrounds and then create a stereo pair to listen to just them in stereo. But then you’d have to split them up and add them back to the TV Room to use them that way.
Full Mode (as above) works far better, with less aggravation for me.
