My Sony Bravia TV is connected to a Beam soundbar using a quality HDMI Arc cable. The  Sonos ones are also part of the system, and operated with an updated Sonos app.

Every time I turn on the TV, it seeks out the external speakers and drops the Beam, leaving two Sonos 1 speakers operating with reduced or no volume. The volume on the Beam must be raised from “0” once I make a reconnection. The “apply” button does not keep the beam set up.

The same configuration has to be reset after the tv is turned on. Obviously this inconvenience is tiresome. Ideas anyone?

Are there any other devices connected to the TV?

Please clarify….

Are the Sonos One’s Grouped to the Beam or Bonded to the Beam as surrounds in a Home Theater setup? If the latter the Sonos One’s will not show in the app as a room/zone.

Thanks for your replies.

The app seems to show “everywhere” and “all sonos” as options. If I select “everywhere” this setting does not hold as you have suggested. If I create one zone of Beam and S-1’s to create the home theatre effect, and eliminate all other speakers, temporarily, would this “bonded” set then hold? I’m thinking that I need to start over. The original version of the app I used was vague and difficult to follow, and I may have set up the system incorrectly.

The only other connection to the to is a Roku streaming device.
