I hava a Sonos Sub G1. I am using S1 controller as I still have several Play5 g1 speakers. However the speaker was bought 2nd hand and was earlier used with Sonos app. Have not been able to downgrade it to S1, what is the trick?

Unfortunately with the new app, the ability to downgrade a Sonos product to S1 is temporarily unavailable, but will return in a future update.

For some members who need to rollback from an S2 to an S1 controller, I managed to downgrade the S2 controller on my Gen 1 sub to S1 by using an old Ipad Mini running on IOS15.8.2. Download the newest Sonos App from the App Store and due to hardware incompatibility, it will download the old S2 app to the Ipad. Will also work on an Iphone 7 or older. Voila, rollback completed. Cheers!

The same  here … bought 2 sonos port after looking on sonos official site to see if would be  downgradable to S1 … and when trying , it was not possible anymore ….

need to fix this asap … it is not very honest to advertise it is possible and afterwards saying it is ‘temporarily not avaible’

and when looking for help with helpdesk they just can t give a date and Even more they say can not assure it will be on the next update ?!
