Before I throw my 2 Play 1 speakers out of the window!  We changed from SKY to BT WIFI several months ago and have had intermittent issues with connection.

Sitting in the garden on Sunday, we decided we would like some music - so I opened the SONOS 2  app  and struggled to connect but and was then advised that the app needed updating - which I did (Android) and my husband did on his iPhone. The result was a series of abject failures to connect - with different stages of the process failing.

I have tried on my phone, my husbands, the family Kindle and the Windows app on the laptop - all failing at some point.

We have reset the speakers - several times
Deleted and reinstalled the app - several times

The BT hub is dual band and SONOS uses 2.4G - is this an issue? I can disable 5G temporarily but that messes up other things with the TV.

On my husband’s phone, after reinstalling, an update is requested but requiring the account holder to sign in - but there is no way to do so. The devices know who we are - so my husband can’t log in as me.

Best result so far is a single speaker connected via cable to router. (now failed)

There have been times when the app has located both speakers - pinged recognition and then failed to add to the system.

I would simply like to start from scratch - a clean slate.
Please help!

Sorry I don’t think I can help except to commiserate and say go with plan “A” Toss out window. Did you get that letter from Sony yesterday (7/29/24)? Steamed me but good! They KNEW the update on May 7 was a crock! This system blows. I have struggled with issues exactly as yours for last year or so with my Samsung TV. Hubby and I have Apple phones with mom & pop controller Apps and constantly drops out! Now his Apple won’t update anymore. I honestly think the best thing is dump this garbage system and go with Bose. Good luck to you. I wouldn’t be on the forum if Sony had EVER been any help.
