I can't connect my sonos play 5. It has a bridge. The app can't find it.

The Bridge is long expired, even the replacement for it the Boost is expired. You might check the Sonos FAQ and set your Play 5 to use WiFi as it will likely work better than the Bridge even if it wasn’t acting up.
You might try a new power supply for the Bridge, it is the usual failure but WiFi would be better in almost all cases.
