Is it possible to connect my Mac to Beam Gen 2 via HDMI, if so what settings do I need.

Not that I’m aware of, no. The Beam needs an ARC signal across HDMI, the Mac creates a normal HDMI signal. You’d need to introduce a device that creates ARC or eARC from that standard signal.
