Every time I disconnect my Sonos One (like if I move) I have a very difficult time reconnecting. I can’t for the life of me get it to connect now even though I did a factory reset, updated the wi-fi network successfully, tried the new and the old apps. I’m at a complete loss and after 2 hours of trying everything I can think of, I want to shed a few tears. I also noticed that I got a prompt a few times to “log in as owner” which makes no sense because there’s no option other than regular log in for either app. Please tell me there’s some very simple way to get my speaker working!

How often do you move?

In general, there are two ‘easy’ ways to change your WiFi. One is certainly explained in the new router - installation instructions FAQ. The other, even easier, in my opinion, is to merely set up the new router with the same SSID and password as the ‘old’ router. Then the Sonos wouldn’t notice anything had changed.

Given that you’ve gone through the highly unrecommended factory reset, which requires setting up your speakers again as if they were straight out of the box, and loses any ‘saved’ information on the Sonos, you may find it easier to connect your Sonos, at least temporarily, to your router, with an Ethernet cable. You do, of course, need to ensure your new router’s WiFi  matches the Sonos Network Requirements FAQ.

But I’m honestly not sure where you might be running into the ‘login as owner’ prompt. You may want to refer to the manage your account FAQ. Or, it might be easiest for you to call Sonos Support directly to discuss it.

When you speak directly to the phone folks, they have tools at their disposal that will allow them to give you advice specific to your network and Sonos system.
