can i run play 1 ON s2 controller

I am about to receive an era 100 sold my play 5 gen ones but still have two play ones I am getting conflicting messages when web searching on whether or not I can run the play ones on the gen 2 app

Could someone confirm if this is possible and the process or do I need to rune two apps

Both the Play:1 and the One are S2 compatible. See here:
