Can i hack the Sonos One cable for Era 100?

I have Sonos One cables running through a wall, to reach my One speakers, and its impossible to replace them, or run new wires.

My speakers have been damaged, and would like to upgrade to the Era 100.

Is it possible to hack the existing wire, cut the power adapter head end off, and replace with a Era 100 head end? Is it simply two wires that need to be connected?

Would that work?
