Hello, a recent (2 days) update has stopped my Sonos 1 working.

It tells me the speaker and bridge need an update but then tells me they aren't compatible with the suggested new App.

Its been working absolutely fine up until the update,  i would appreciate any ideas or suggestions please.

There’s no Sonos speaker as a 1, so there are questions unanswered here.

Do you have a PLAY:1, or a Sonos One? You mention a BRIDGE, which is S1 only, but you might also be referencing a BOOST which runs either S1 or S2. Which is it?

Did you just update your current app, or did you download a different version? There’s a definite difference between running S1 and S2.

What other Sonos devices are in your system? What device and OS are you running your controller on?

Thanks for your reply Bruse, it is indeed a Paly 1 running through a bridge.

Sonos informed that after a recent app update the bridge was no longer needed, ive removed that and now have it set up on S2 app.

Have to say i preffered the S1 interface

Well, glad it’s working. The BRiDGE, at this age, is known to be problematic with its power supply, and cause all sorts of difficult to track issues, you’re better off without it. I suspect the fifference between S1 and S2 concerns will alleviate as muscle memory changes.
