Hi. I own sonos arc, era 100 and sub (gen3) i usually use my speakers for 3-4 hours a day and i plug them on and off every single day. I want to know by doing this am i damaging my devices or is it okay to turn them on and off from power every day

Sonos devices are meant to stay powered. Like all modern AV electronics (TV’s, receivers, powered speakers, etc.) which are never really “Off”, Sonos devices enter a low powered state shortly after the audio stops. Powering on and off at the wall outlet entails a power and thermal cycle which can cause electronics to fail earlier than if you just left them on. It is well known that most circuitry fails at power up, and soldered joints and fittings tend to expand and contract during a thermal cycle, inducing unneeded wear and tear. Sonos themselves recommend keeping them powered on as much as possible.

There’s no need to unplug your system. Sonos speakers go into a sleep state after (I believe) 30 minutes of non-use. However the constant turning them off/on also requires that they reconnect with your router which could lead to duplicate IP Addresses unless you have static IP’s assigned. Automatic updates will not be installed leading to potential issues as well. Bottom-line…leave them powered on.
The Sonos products all are designed for always being connected on the wall and the power consumption is very low while isn't in use, but if you unplug them and when you will use it you plug it again, I don't think that something occurs.

Sonos devices are intended to be connected to power 24/7 and go into idle power consumption mode when not being used.
i would say that you are putting more strain on the internals by disconnecting and connecting to power every single day.
For instance, the Era 100s use <2 Watts when idle so I’d question if the electricity saving is even worth the time spent powering them on/off each day, let alone having to wait until your system has reconnected before you can use it.
Power-up is probably the most stressful event in a unit’s lifecycle. A unit is designed to survive a certain number of power cycles, then it fails. Power-up and stay powered until the next power failure is only one cycle.
I leave most of my Sonos powered-up for the above reasons.
I have a few that I power down, they are ones that can go multiple weeks or months without being used. Anything used weekly or more often I leave powered up.
