adding speakers for additional surround or room to room audio.

I have an arc ultra, sub four and two era 300s that comprise my home theater surround system. As near as I can tell I should not need to add anything else, but I am wondering if I can.

The other thing I’m wondering about is can I take two era 100s Into an adjacent room for the purposes of listening to music or will that conflict with my surrounding system since the second room is very close to my surround system?

You can only add a second Sub to your home theatre setup.
The volume in each room should drown out anything from the other room.

You can only play what you are sent so once you are configured so that all content you are getting is fully reproduced there is nothing local (TV or Sonos) more to be done.

What you can do is upgrade your source, either the current one(s) or adding new ones, to provide you with higher quality output. Example, Amazon's Prime Video Ultra (new) that provides higher quality content.

Prime Video Ultra elevates your Prime Video experience

Ad-free streaming: Watch Prime movies and TV shows without interruptions

4K UHD video: Stunning clarity in four times the resolution of HD

Dolby Atmos: Immersive spatial sound, creating a cinematic experience

100 downloads for licensed content: Even more offline viewing options [up from 25]

5 concurrent streams: Perfect for larger households [up from 3]

Subscription will automatically renew at $4.99/month, $45.99/year, unless you cancel.

@BDP Hal Please define “different” and “best”. What do these words mean to you when describing your Sonos?

By different I mean between 2.1 5.1 pcm or Atmos. By best or better I just want the best sound for the movie, TV, Sports. Etc

Your Sonos system can only play what is sent to it. Films in the different formats must, by their very nature, sound different.
     A 2.1 soundtrack will play from the front channels and the Sub;

    A 5.1 soundtrack will also play effects through the rear speakers;

    An Atmos soundtrack introduces additional sounds through the height channels.

This would have been my answer too before the community software sent me home with “Something went wrong.”

It does get tedious though, doing it every time or trying to second-guess when you need to do it!

 If you try bold some section of the post and it does not work you’ll need to do the Copy/Paste thing.

I’ve not been able to “second guess” when the software will choke. Yes, BOLD seems to increase the risk, but I barely use it.
