I have a beam gen 2 and a mini sub all set up for tv sound. If I get a Sonos 5 for use as my music player could I add my mini sub to the five as well as keeping it in my beam 2 setup

You cannot connect a sub to two different host speakers at the same time. You would need to disconnect it from the Beam to use it with the Five.
