Is it true that the iOS app and the soundbar have to use the same SSID even 2 SSIDs are on the same network?

According to Sonos support they must use the same SSID. So if you have SSIDs NETWORK 2.4 and NETWORK 5 they have to use the same SSID even if they are on the same subnet.

If your router doesn’t bridge between 2.4 and 5, then yes they have to be on the same SSID.  Mine handles connecting to either just fine.

The have to be on the same subnet, which may or may not mean the same SSID.
