I have been having a problem with 2x Play 5s, the support team have given up after telling me to get a new router but not much insight besides that and there must be something on your network.
Situation is that mobiles connect fine to Sonos machines but a laptop -Sony Vaio - fails to connect. Modem is Technicolor MediaAccess TG589vac. It is a 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz modem. I have finally figured out that the issue is for some reason the Play 5s are connected to 5Ghz (Support said that's notthe case) when I was advised Sonos only works on wifi (without Bridge) on 2.4Ghz.
It is quite confusing as I have to somehow either switch off the 5Ghz so Sonos goes to 2.4Ghz alone or somehow move my laptop to 5Ghz so it can control Sonos app. Any other ideas?
