We have a gen 1 ZonePlayer 5 (Play5). We have not used it for several years as a result of moving. I’m trying to set it up now, but it’s not connecting to the app (iphone or macbook). We do not have any other Sonos products. I have tried with the Play5 wired to the router (which is also the modem - VIsionNet Model M505+). I did a factory reset on the speaker, and the light just flashes green. My iphone and macbook are connected to the same wireless network. I’ve followed all the advice I can find online, but nothing works. Please help!

Contact Sonos Support by phone. The Play:5’s firmware may be too old, whilst your controller apps (iPhone or Mac) are presumably the latest S1 version.
NEVERMIND! The ethernet cable I was trying to use was junk. So sorry for wasting your time!
