Question

Sonos Move for Steam Shower

Anyone know or try using a Sonos Move in a Steam Room/Shower.  I see no problem (with the IP56 rating) of it being in the shower but wonder if it would be OK in a steam shower where I feel like the water/steam could penetrate into the speaker a little easier (plus it gets to about 110deg).

Thanks.

Not sure but I wouldn’t risk my Move in my Steam Shower...

I have a PLAY:1 in my bathroom, just outside the shower, and it’s turned up enough to hear in the shower. Works well. I’m just not convinced the heat and humidity inside a steam shower would be great. The Move might handle the water fine, but the temperature would be an added concern.

according to the manual:

Operating Temperature

32º to 113º F (0º to 45º C)

Storage Temperature

-13º to 158º F (-25º to 70º C)

Humidity Resistant

Move meets IP56 water and dust resistance levels. Just don’t leave it out in a soaking rainstorm
