Sonos 5 wifi broken

I see huge amount of posts about Sonos 2 Gen 2 wifi breaking irrecoverably. Support looked at diagnostics and verified just wifi is broken on mine (for no reason). Is anybody considering legal action against Sonos for this as it is so widespread?

    I’ve emailed a company offering Sonos repair on Google and asked Sonos if they dont offer any parts, is their intention that all faulty equipment simply goes to landfill - surely that can’t be the answer. 
     

    I doubt a 3rd party can help as other than broken units on eBay where would they get the spares?
