How do I turn down the volume of these sounds? They are incredibly loud!

Thanks!

Tried that and it doesn’t work. Volume on the Roam could be all the way down and the power button sounds are still at full volume.

Strange, sounds like a fault of some sort, but see the following…

Have you perhaps tried powering off/on the device (not standby) by holding the rear power button for 5+ seconds until you hear the 4 quick-descending tones. Leave for 10 seconds and power on again and select the "volume -" button when the music is playing so that it’s volume is then very low and go onto try the power button tones again.

If the problem persists, then obtain a diagnostic report and post it’s reference back here and then contact/chat to Sonos Support Staff via this LINK.

They’re intrinsically linked to the audio volume, so if you reduce the volume of the speaker, you should find those mentioned tones will also reduce too.
