Hello, I have had two play5s for the past few years with no issues. However, recently I have noticed that both units in seperate rooms seem to be attracting ants?! The ants seem to be living in the speakers and even though I spray them they seem to just come back. The ants leave little black flakes, I'm wondering if they are eating rubber or something else in the speaker, has anyone else seen this issue?
Ive seen a number of these threads, heres a couple, with some ideas on how to deal.

This worked for my macbook

1. get a tray of water and put a stable platform in the centre - I used a baking tray and a ceramic bowl

2. place the speaker on the platform ensuring that it is not touching the water

3. place a bridge from the speaker that spans the water and leave overnight, a ruler or wooden spoon will do

4. ants should use the bridge to leave the speaker and not come back

5. Remember to let others in your house know why you have this weird configuration so they know not to risk knocking the speaker in the water
