Play 5 without WIFI
Can I use Play 5 Gen 1 connected directly to my phone with 3.5 cable. I have no WIFI or internet.

Yes you can but you need wifi to set it up and make sure auto play is enabled..
Next time it detects a signal in line in it will auto play it, with or without wifi. All controls will have to be via the buttons on the speaker.

I will have to look at the settings. When I connect it will play for maybe a minute then stop. Seems to be looking for service. Do I need to set something other than autoplay?
