Daft question….

can a Play:1 (2016 version) be paired with a Play:1 (2013 version)?

I suspect the answer is yes, so my real question is would there be any problems given the differences in storage and memory as shown here:

Basically I’m looking to add a second speaker (cheaply) to my current 2016 Play:1 and the 2013 version seems more available.
