Hello

How to adjust left right balance on a stereo pair of Era 300 for music listening?

I am honestly shocked that such a basic and essential feature is not available by default.

My situation is straightforward. I cannot place my speakers in a perfectly centered listening position. The right speaker is farther away, so I simply want to increase its volume to compensate and keep a proper stereo image.

How can we adjust the left right balance on an Era 300 stereo pair when listening to music?

If the option exists somewhere, I cannot find it. If it does not exist, I do not understand how a system positioned as premium can lack such a fundamental control.

Thanks

Unfortunately there is no option to adjust the balance on an Era 300 stereo pair.

The lack of a balance setting in this configuration for a user to access is ludicrous.

I’ve found this in the Sonos web:

https://support.sonos.com/en/article/adjust-the-bass-treble-balance-and-loudness

I didn’t know that Era 300 can’t be balanced as @Mr. T says 🙄, as they are one of the latest products launched…

Have you tried TruePlay? Perhaps the system equalises your listening position.

Era-300’s are Atmos capable, which relies on room analysis, and therefore best tuned using Trueplay or Auto-Trueplay.  A balance control compared to Trueplay is like a hatchet compared to a CNC machine.

Yes, but ask to a CNC machine to cut wood as a hatchet, it’ll do it. By the way, I have to look what a CNC machine is 😅

A balance equalisation should be something so easy to implement (and already available in previous models) that I can’t imagine why is missing. I would never use it, perhaps, but Sonos customers are so numerous and so different… and all of them pay a lot of money.

Trueplay doesn’t resolve the imbalance either.
