So, elektrowelt sells play1 and play5 zoneplayers. The main differences between these? They have a price difference of 350€. And can you connect a cd player to a play1 zoneplayer eg does it have a line-in option? So that you have a play 1 zoneplayer and 2 regular play1 speakers, do you get them to all play the same source from the CD player?

A PLAY:1 does not have a line-in on it. In order to connect a CD player to the Sonos ecosystem, you'd need either a PLAY:5 or a CONNECT, both of which have line-ins.

Thanks for the reply! Does a connect have a speaker in it or is it just a "link system"?

It's basically a link system, there is no speaker built in to it. Check out the Shop section of this website, there's pretty good information there.
