Buzzing on sonos speaker with turntable

Hi .. I have connected a pro ject III turntable through a project preamp and into my play5 .. all working fine except for a really audible buzzing sound ... any ideas please ? Thank you

usually with turntable that means its not properly grounded

The turntable wire should have a ground wire that has to be connected to the ground point on the Amp.

Your cable should look like this and you see the spade connector that screws on to the ground terminal of the turntable and then the pre-amp should have a screw on the back of it to hook it to as well to ground properly.
