Voice assistant does not recognise Spotify
When asking Sonos voice assistant to play music it says that I must have a music subscription.I use Spotify all the time with sonos. Alexa has no trouble with Spotify. I recently used sonos voice assistant with One of my Sono One devices and it worked fine. When I moved the speaker to another location it stopped accepting Spotify.I have since deleted Spotify and reinstalledI have deleted Sonos and reinstalledI have removed voice assistant and reinstalledI have run out of choicesWhen I look at music services in setting I see that Spotify is greyed out with a comment … not compatible
"Hey Sonos" - Sonos Voice Assistant
Coming June 1?https://www.theverge.com/2022/5/4/23056149/sonos-voice-assistant-features-release-date?“Hey Sonos” will be the wake word for Sonos Voice Control, and the company’s internal tests show it to be quicker than competing assistant services at core music tasks.I would love to see the ability to play songs from my personal music library using Sonos Voice.
Sonos Voice Control - roll out dates?
It seems US has already got the SVC released and seen online that France will get SVC (French?) later this year, but what about the rest of the world? Would be nice to see some kind of timeline for us who don’t want to share what we say with google or amazon.I would be happy to be able to use the same version as for the US, as English is still the main language in my household and I wouldn’t want a local language version.
voice assistant issues
I just remarked in my kitchen “this pan makes a great omelette “ immediately the sonos move responded YES loudly not in the assistants voice I might addChecked my network for unknown devices there were none I have removed all voice assistants and disabled the microphone on all devices Most disconcerting....
Sonos Voice: Sorry, your Amazon Music subscription does not allow you to play this content
I’m using Sonos Voice Assistant with Amazon Music. A few days ago, it suddenly stopped working. Almost any content I request gets denied. For instance, I say “Hey Sonos, play Michael Jackson”. Unfortunately, the answer is (almost?) always “Sorry, your Amazon Music subscription does not allow you to play this content.”. I don’t have Amazon Music Unlimited, but Prime Music. It used to work just fine. Furthermore, it does still work if I choose the same content via the Sonos app or the Amazon Music app. Thus, I guess this is an issue with the Sonos Voice Assistant. Maybe it got something to do with the latest changes for Amazon Music, which increased the number of available songs from 2M to 100M I think? I already removed the Amazon Music service from the Sonos app and re-added it. Didn’t change anything.
Sonos voice control for BBC radio 2
I want Sonos voice control to play BBC Radio 2 on my Beam but each time I ask it to play I say Hey Sonos play radio 2 it plays the wrong channel it plays some Welsh BBC radio not the standard BBC radio 2 Does anyone know how to get Sonos voice control to play BBC radio 2? I have BBC Sounds in my Sonos app and can use Alexa to play but I want to use the new Sonos voice not Alexa please help if anyone knows if this can be done? Thankyou
Development suggestion - Temp. Vol. Increase
HiWhile I enjoy the new voice commands very much for modifying playback. I often end up asking for increased volume on great track, but forget to turn it down again.Suggestion: Voice command: “(Hey Sonos) This is a great track!”Response: Volume increase to a (in app?) set value, but for the remainder of the song only. For the next track, volume should return to whatever it was before.
Sonos Voice Control answer volume too loud
Hello, I’m using SVC on the Roam. Any answer given by SVC is (subjectively) twice as loud as the actual media volume. This makes it extremely disturbing and unusable for me because it’s basically yelling to the whole neighborhood about my Sonos setup status… making me go to great lengths to actively not use it. What’s the solution here? Thanks in advance. (P.S. this goes somewhat hand in hand with a different topic of mine, discussing the need to not have answers at all.)
iTunes Match with Sonos Voice Control
Hello All,Wondering if there is a way to get the new Sonos Voice Control to work with iTunes Match? Technically, iTunes Match works by matching your physical copies of songs with songs on the Apple Music Library. On the Sonos App, I’ve linked my Apple Music (iTunes Match) subscription with their services, but because it is not legitimately “Apple Music”, I can’t get Sonos Voice Control to work properly with my Match catalogue. Anyone have any suggestions here? Would be nice to be able to send music easily from Roam to Move, but you can’t do that simply with Airplay Music, so I was hoping to be able to start up music directly on the speakers with the Sonos App.
Unable to add Sonos Voice
I am trying to add Sonos voice to a Beam. The Beam is powered on and is on the latest version (I checked in the app). I can play Sonos radio on it fine from the app so the Wifi is working correctly. However when I step through the process of adding Sonos voice I get the end and always get this error:“There was a problem connecting to Family Room. Make sure all your products are powered on and connected to Wifi”I’m not sure what to do at this point.
A More "Music-Optimized" Sonos Voice Assistant
Back in 2019, Sonos purchased Snips, a voice platform, with the intention of making “the voice experience on Sonos even better”. Reflecting on my own experiences lately using both Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa, I really hope Sonos is close to launching their own voice assistant soon that can overcome many of the shortcomings of these two voice assistants, especially in terms of playing music. In particular, I’d like to see a voice assistant that can:Play lossless / Hi-Res / HiFi music from a music service Differentiate between your personal playlists and public music platform playlists Play music from your own local music libraryWhat would you like to see it do, based upon the issues and frustrations you’re encountering in trying to play music with your voice assistant of choice?
Sonos One + Sonos Voice Control + Apple Music -- Poor Accuracy
I am a long time Amazon Music + Assistant user on my Sonos One, and am attempting to change to Apple Music. Since my listening workflow is calling out songs or bands using voice-control, which works fairly well with Amazon, I am trying to use the Sonos Voice Assistant with my new Apple Music sub. Here is my problem -- accuracy is ABYSMAL for me so far! I’m not seeing this complaint often online, so I wonder (and hope) I am doing something wrong. The Sonos Assistant is using Apple Music (in fact I disconnected Amazon entirely from Sonos to make sure it wasn’t causing issues), but nearly all of my requests are failing entirely or being mistaken. Here is a sample workflow:Q: “Hey Sonos. Please the song ‘Solitary Man’ by ‘Crooked Fingers’” A: “Sorry, I didn’t understand what you asked for. Do you want to play something by Crooked Fingers instead?” Q: “Hey Sonos. Play the song ‘Solitary Man’ A: [Plays ‘Solid Men to the Front’] Q: “Hey Sonos. Play the song ‘Solitary Man’ A: [Plays ‘S
Digging the privacy angle of your Sonos Voice Control. Would love to see it supplant other services. Any chance of considering the following feature requests:Set alarms via voice Set timers (multiple, please) — really useful in the kitchen Intercom functionality (speak a phrase/announcement and have that play on all Sonos speakers — including S1 if possible) Multiple voice recognition & service linkage — or at least a way to specific when instance/account of a music service to play (ie Apple Music - mine, Apple Music - yours, etc…)Regardless of the above, you’re off to a roaring start. Keep up the great work!
Controlling Sonos Connect Amp (Second Gen) with Voice Control.
Bare with me here:My setup for the past few years since we got our pool is this.Sonos Second Gen Connect Amp (the white/grey one, not the new black one). This powers two outdoor speakers. I had a google mini speaker outside, that I would talk to while in the pool to change songs, change artist, etc. This has all been working until I changed to the Nest Audio.Below is my thread I have created on the google forums just for reference. I was thinking of purchasing a Sonos Roam since it is portable and waterproof. I would use this to tell Sonos what to do while I am in the pool.My question is, can I get it to function similar to the google speaker, where it does not play music, it just plays on the amp and two speakers. For example, if I am in the pool and I tell the Roam to play an artist, it will start playing on the connect amp, and not the roam. Basically just want the Roam for Sonos voice control. Can it work like this?I am considering an Alexa device just for this, but all my stuff
