Qobuz and Sonos MCP Connection

This is more of a feature request, but could Qobuz please be added to the list of searchable and controllable music services via the new MCP connection to AI models. This is a really great feature, but annoying that it doesn’t work with Qobuz.

I do not use this feature, so just to be clear: is this up to Sonos or Qobuz?

I suppose it depends on Sonos, because imho they have to support the streaming services in MCP that AI will be able to control. My understanding is that AI won’t be able to control all to Sonos connected services automatically. But as said… that’s only what I think of.

I’m not convinced it’s up to Sonos. The connected AI model needs to be able to read/manipulate the Qobuz information. It would be odd/unusual, IMHO, for Sonos to be the one responsible for taking that information and exposing it. It makes more sense to me that Qobuz does, since Sonos is merely the connection to the AI agent.

@Airgetlam

I see what your arguments are, Bruce. And they also sound logical to me. Sadly I just can think suspiciously about the question because I don’t know any details about how MCP works. I can imagine both… that AI has to know about how to control the service, or that AI has general permission via MCP to control your added services if Sonos set an“ok“ for the service within MCP.
The future might tell us… 😉

Agreed, Ralf ( @Schlumpf )….I’m certainly not certain, but it seems ‘logical’ to me, from an outside perspective. Wish I was a programmer and understood this better, but as you say, time will likely tell.
