how to enable Ring doorbell on sonos one Gen 2

Hi

i have a dual Sonos one gen 2 set up in the kitchen and a Sonos beam with Sonos one gen2’s but cannot workout how to get my Ring doorbell to announce on them.. it works on my standalone Alexa?

 

any instruction would be appreciated

Unfortunately, the Alexa app only allows you to choose an “Echo Device” to use as an “Announcement Device” for a Ring doorbell. Even though the Ones are enabled with Alexa, the Alexa app still classifies them as a “Speaker” rather than an “Echo Device”. And setting the Sonos speaker as the “preferred speaker” for an Echo device doesn’t work either.

But you should be able to create an Alexa Routine to get it to work.
