I own 12 Sonos products in my system and love the hardware.  The interface, however, is lacking.  There are three tv sound bars including ann arc, arc ultra, and play bar.  They work fine as soundbars driven by the optical cable on my tv’s.  But since the app update some time ago, none of the other items work.  It’s all software issues, but without a,way to use the speakers, what’s the point?  It may be time to rethink my approach to audio in my home.  RIP Sonos.

I'm sorry to hear that you are having issues with other aspects of the app, but Sonos is not going anywhere. While you may decide to leave and invest in another manufacturer, users like myself are staying with Sonos.

Yes the app does have its issues and its release should have been vetted properly, but there are so many users without issues that have no need to rant negatively about things that may be easily corrected. Usually asking for help can be a great way to lower your level of frustration.

For whole home audio, Sonos is hard to beat. I have used the product line for many years without any issues that would make me want to jump ship.

IEDIT: What surprises me though, is the fact that the Arc Ultra was just released and you purchased it! Only to say now that it doesn't work beyond soundbar duties.. This would usually mean there is something wrong with your network configuration.

Maybe you should look into that?

Thanks for the suggestion regarding the network config.  And yes, I did just get the arc ultra and used it for the first this morning.  Set it up under a new 98” tv and it sounds great!  Also love the big screen! I will attempt linking it to Sonos later.  It is frustrating when I went to use my Sonos system only to find out there is a new app and all of my existing equipment wasn’t  recognized by the existing app. Granted that was sometime ago.  I just stopped using it after that.   Guess I only have limited patience for tinkering with equipment that should be stable and reliable.  This is bound to improve.  In the meantime, I will enjoy the quality of Sonos soundbars regardless of app connection challenges.
