So, here's what I'd like to be able to do:
When I'm streaming a movie/TV show to my TV via Chromecast, the audio plays through my crappy built-in TV speakers. I would like the audio to be played through my lovely Sonos One stereo pair instead.
How would I go about doing that?

Daniel, sorry to be the bearer of bad news. While what you're asking would seem simple and it's something many people would like but the sad truth is Sonos feel differently. The only sonos speakers that connect to a TV are their sound bars. (Playbase, Playbar and Beem)
I remember a while back I saw an app that allowed Youtube to play through the speakers as you watched it on a tv or monitor.
