Hey all! This morning, we deployed an update for iOS and Android. See below for a summary of what's changed. If you'd like a look at what has changed over the last few months, check out our App Release Notes here, as well as our System (Player) Release Notes here.

As with most updates, this will be a Phased Rollout, which means that you may (or may not) get the update or features pushed to your system. Some iOS users have sidestepped this in the past, by going directly to the App Store. If you still do not see the update, try refreshing the App Store by pulling down (as if you were refreshing a page) on the Account page that shows all your pending app updates.

What’s New:

App Update

Android - 83.01.7

iOS - 83.01.7

  • Bug fixes and app improvements

Player Update

  • 94.1-75140 (Era 100, Era 100 Pro, Era 300 & Arc Ultra)
  • 94.1-75261 (Play & Move 2)
  • Fix for “popping” sound from Era 100 or Era 300
  • Bug fixes and improvements

As always please don’t hesitate to share your feedback (about the new features or anything else), as we genuinely appreciate it!

With this update (or maybe before?), if switched off (from being on), Move (gen1) does not allow microphone switching on/off unless a voice assistant is enabled.

So does not allow trueplay (re)tuning... or indeed at all without a voice assistant.

(Android 16, current app and firmware update)

TruePlay needs the mic.  Turn on Sonos Voice Control.  You don’t have to use SVC.  Just turn it on to get the mic to work.  I don’t really know if the mic works without voice control as I’ve always had SVC on.

Yes, Autotrueplay cannot be enabled after being disabled in the app. It seems that this will never be fixed. Sonos Roam has a similar issue.

I activated sonos voice control and now I can turn autotrueplay on and off. Without svc, it is not possible to turn autotrueplay on. Surprisingly...
