Roam 2 Dies on Bundled Wireless Charger

There are old articles on here about the Roam having issues with the wireless charger and not maintaining charge. My Roam 2 is only a few months old and I assumed buying the charging bundle was the way to go.

After all these years, why on EARTH have they not figured out the wireless charging bug that even Google search says is a known bug?!

There should never be a situation where the speaker could sit on the wireless charging base and end up in a state where it will die and be inoperable until you physically plug in a USBC cable. It's wild this is allowed to still be an issue.

Sorry to hear that you are having issues. There is no trouble shooting for the wireless charger that can be done in the community. As your device is only a few months old you have a few options:

  1. First place the Roam2 on your Wi-Fi
  2. Run a diagnostic and call Sonos Tech Support as they may be able to determine if the Roam 2 is defective or maybe the charger 
  3. If the Roam 2 is not at fault request a replacement unit (charger)
  4. If Tech Support is not able to initiate the replacement then call Sonos Sales to get a replacement unit (charger).
