I haven’t looked at the LED states FAQ recently, but that suggests to me it is either in a fault state, or out of power. 

Red light flashing indicates low battery.  I’d check the charger is warm and nd clean the contacts on the charging bae as first things to check.

Thank you. It appears that I had the speaker placed backwards on the charging ring. That probably shouldn’t be possible.
