Sonos Move 2 does not autoplay via line-in adapter (connected to ipod)

I have recently purchased a Sonos Move 2 with the Sonos Line-IN adapter SD-01 to play music from my ipod. I have also set up my Move 2 according to the following Sonos resource page at https://support.sonos.com/en-au/article/play-line-in-on-your-move-2 (and)
https://support.sonos.com/en-au/article/adjust-line-in-settings.

Problem I'm having is that my move 2 does not automatically play from line-in (Ipod) every time I power up from scratch. I found that I have to disconnect the USB-C adapter and re-connect it before it would play from the ipod. This is a major inconvenience and is a major flaw in the design of the unit. Have I configured my Move 2 incorrectly? I have also tried 2 different audio cable with no success.

Perhaps see if increasing the line-in source level to a higher value might improve things for you. I would perhaps also consider trying a different audio cable too. If the problem still persist after trying those things then it maybe best to submit a Sonos system diagnostic report from within the Sonos App, note it’s reference and then contact/chat with Sonos Support Staff via this LINK and see what the Staff can perhaps suggest to resolve the matter.

Hi Ken, thank you for your suggestion. I have set the source level at its maximum and also have used different audio cables but to no avail. I will now submit a system diagnostic to Sonos and see where this leads to. Thanks again for your assistance.
