Son and Friend trying to set up Sonos on Xfinity XB7

I have 3 Sonos products and have my own wifi with an Amplifi mesh setup.  Worst issue is the iOS app but that’s another story.

 

A find is trying to get their new Roam 2 set up and my son has a Move 2 that we got him.  SAME PROBLEM WITH BOTH.

 

Once the devices get properly set up with the wifi, the app still doesn’t find a device e.

 

I had both devices set up immediately to my Amplifi with no problem.

 

That says to be the common issue is XB7 and Xfinity.

 

Can anyone provide similar instances that they were able to solve?  Thanks, Tom

I had the misfortune to have an XB7 a couple of years ago. I immediately put it into Bridge mode and used my AmpliFi HDs, never a problem.

What kind of settings does the XB7 offer these days? Anything regarding multicast, broadcast, IGMP or mDNS?

Oh no. Maybe I wasn’t clear. They are trying to use their xb7 alone for Wi-Fi and I couldn’t make it be seen in the Sonos app, whereas I brought the devices here where I have my Wi-Fi working with an amplifi and had no issue.   I don’t have an xb7, I didn’t want to rent from Xfinity. 
im trying to find out how people solved it with the xb7 alone so I can help my son and friend at their homes.
