I have two moves (recently purchased one) I’ve been trying to pair them to play in stereo but having no luck! I’ve factory reset them both and updated the app but when I press the pair button on the app it says make sure the speakers are compatible … I’m at my whits end 😩😁

Hi Rhony thanks for the reply! They are yes!
they’re both first gen !

Maybe see if a local reboot of the router will fix it, but first bring both Moves nearer the router (within same room as the main router) and just see if that sorts the matter. You can move them back afterwards.

Are they the same model? (You can’t pair a Sonos Move with a Sonos Move 2.)

Both Moves are connected to your WiFi network and not just by Bluetooth?

The Moves are located in the same physical room (or fairly close to each other, at least)?

You have started the process by going into Settings for one of the Moves and selecting “Set up stereo pair”?

They both play independently John and I can switch between them both but they just won’t seem to pair!!

First check for updates to ensure everything is consistent.

Please describe in more detail what happens in the app.  What messages do you get?  What options?

Hi John! It says make sure speakers are connected to Wi-Fi (which they are! )

I’ve tried again moving them next to router as Ken advised! But still getting the same outcome when I press pair! …. Admittedly I’m not the most savvy at tech stuff but I’ve tried every which way I can think of …. I keep leaving them for a few days and trying again! I’m at the point of throwing them thru the window 😩😁

Does your network consist just of one route, or do you have access points,  mesh satellites etc?

A further couple of unquestionablyin. Do the speakers connect to the same band I.e. 2.4 or 5 GHz

Can you see both speakers in the app at the same time?

Was your recent purchase second hand.? Did you do a factory reset on it before you added it to your system?
