Hi,
I bought a Move 2 recently and it's a great speaker. However, I noticed when switched off (long press on the back button until it chimes and disappears from app) it loses 2% charge a day. I contacted support who initially decided to replace the unit. The second unit arrived but it's behaving the same way. They're now saying it's expected. Weird.
Considering 3 hours of playtime at volume 40 uses about 10% of the battery that means, when it should be off, it's losing about 35mins of play time...a day.
I intend to use the speaker when outside gardening or away from the house. I don't want it sitting on a charger all the time, nor do I want the battery totally drained, neither of which are healthy for batteries.
I assume the official line will be something like "even when powered off is still doing some stuff" but why? That's what sleep mode is for. Its a portable speaker. If I turn it off it should be off and and drain levels should match what you would normally expect with a rechargeable battery.
It's such a shame. As it stands I'm going to return it.
Has anyone had this and/or found a solution to it? Maybe sonos can fix via firmware? Maybe the next version of the Move will fix it?
Thanks
