I have a rather big Sonos system with 3 Roams, 2 Move, 1 port, 2 One, 3 IKEA’s, 3 Boosts (big house) and 1 amp. It works very well apart from 1 Roam refusing to update after the new app came out. All the other units updated fine.

The Roam in question keeps giving me the error 30 no matter what I do. I have talked to support - they could not solve it. Anyone here with an idea?

Longshot: Is it possible to go to a friend’s ‘Sonos house’ and try an update there - and then return to my house with the Roam and re-connect it… or will it take a factory reset leaving me with the error 30 again…? Can I reconnect a Roam somehow without the factory reset? 

 

I updated my roam today. Now the system/app doesn’t see it 🙄🙄🙄 I’m more and more frustrated with Sonos and the time I waste trying to work out how to make my expensive gear to work 


After 3 hours Sonos support gave up and they are now sending me a new Roam.
